This page is where I’ll collect reviews and mentions of Designer Genes that I come across…

A mom mentions that she and her daughter are reading through my book here: http://edgeofdesign.blogspot.com/2008/11/simple-devotion.html

Also, Designer Genes got a couple of five-star ratings on goodreads.com:  http://www.facebook.com/ext/share.php?sid=55935849155&h=Gf50Y&u=8aoiY

There’s a great review of Designer Genes on this Web page: http://www.thehomeschoolmagazine.com/Homeschool_Reviews/2427.php

Dr. Ray Pritchard — an author and speaker, and president of Keep Believing Ministries in Tupelo, Mississippi — recommended Designer Genes (and my father’s book, God’s Workshop) in his November 15, 2007 blog update. Check it out here!

My family got to hang out with Dr. Pritchard and his wife Marlene when they were in Montreal for the Missions Fest weekend (Ray was the keynote speaker). The day they were going to fly back to the U.S. they had time to come over for coffee and then go out for lunch with us at a local Greek restaurant. I’m honoured to have Ray endorse my book! 😀

My friend Claudia got the 2007 Christmas Gift Guide (a 36-page catalog) from the Salem Storehouse Christian bookstore in Ottawa and Designer Genes is listed on page 30 (“Great Books for Young Minds”), right next to books by Beverly Lewis, Beth Moore and Jerry Jenkins. 😀

From the Star Lake Camp October newsletter (Salvation Army):

“Young girls want to be outfitted in the latest fashions, but author Ann-Margret Hovsepian shows them what’s truly important—who God created them to be. In The One-Year Designer Genes Devo (Tyndale Kids, 2007), written for 9- to 13-year-old girls, uses Scripture to point youth to their Creator and His purpose for their lives. The author addresses topics including media, relationships, body image, spiritual life, and more. Each week focuses on one subject, with daily Bible readings and related questions. The book also includes puzzles and other activities that are fun for girls. This may be an ideal resource to send home with campers to use throughout the year, or to use as a devotional at camp. Check it out or order a copy online.”

From “Ellen’s Picks”, a four-page review of new books, written by Ellen Graf of RG Mitchell Family Books, which will be printed in the 10,000 copies of the Canadian Youth Workers’ Conference resource magazine in late November:

I forgot to mention that the very first review Designer Genes got was in the August 20, 2007 issue of Christian Retailing on the children’s books page. It was one of just two books featured.
